Stair tread bolt Set 1A – groove fixing

LamiFIX stair tread bolt Set 1A allows grooved treads to be fitted to a wooden stringer or directly into a wooden wall without a stringer. The connector sits in the tread groove, leaving the fixing largely hidden.

Application and design

Set 1A is designed for screwing into wood. The version offered has an embedment depth of T = 50 mm with an 18 mm gap; the same bolt can be screwed in to T = 68 mm for flush installation. According to the catalogue, T = 50 mm is suitable for glued laminated timber in the first two illustrated grain directions and for softwood in the first illustrated direction. For flush installation, T = 68 mm corresponds to the blue value for softwood on catalogue page 18. Check the wood species and grain direction in the product gallery tables. Version A is designed for installation with a groove in the tread.

Installation

Holes in the wooden stringer or wall must be drilled accurately in position and angle.

For stairs without stringers, we lend drill bushes free of charge for up to three months. They make accurate on-site drilling straightforward.
