LamiFIX stair tread bolt Set 1B allows treads with a drilled recess to be fitted to a wooden stringer or directly into a wooden wall without a stringer. The connector is inserted into the hole in the tread. A matching cover cap gives the fixing point a neat finish.

Application and design

Set 1B is designed for screwing into wood. The intended embedment depth is T = 65 mm with an 18 mm gap. This gap helps accommodate uneven walls during installation. If required, the bolt can also be screwed flush into the wooden stringer or wall, giving an appearance similar to a recessed fixing. According to catalogue page 17, T = 65 mm is suitable for glued laminated timber in the third illustrated grain direction, and for softwood in the second illustrated direction. Refer to the blue values and grain direction in the product gallery table. Version B is designed for installation with a drilled hole in the tread.

Installation

Holes in the wooden stringer or wall must be drilled accurately in position and angle.

For stairs without stringers, we lend drill bushes free of charge for up to three months. They make accurate on-site drilling straightforward.
