Stair tread bolt Set 2A – discreet groove fixing

LamiFIX stair tread bolt Set 2A fixes treads to the side of a Fermacell-lined wooden wall. The INOX A2 bolt screws through the lining into the load-bearing timber structure. Version A is designed for grooved treads. The connector sits in the groove and remains largely hidden, providing a discreet, almost invisible connection.

Installation and suitable timber structure

The embedment depth in the timber structure is T = 65 mm. An 18 mm gap is provided between the tread and timber structure; the overall length G is 83 mm. The Fermacell lining must not exceed 15 mm in thickness.

According to catalogue page 19, this version is designed for C24 softwood to EN 338 in the first illustrated grain direction, and for three-layer panels and OSB in all three illustrated directions. Refer to the blue values and grain direction in the product gallery.

Installation

The wall rosette covers the junction with the wall. The Set includes five drywall screws for fixing at the lining. Holes in the wooden wall must be drilled on site accurately in angle and position. Installation without acoustic isolation.

For stairs without stringers, we lend matching drill bushes free of charge for up to three months. They make accurate on-site drilling straightforward. Installation using drill bushes is shown in the LamiFIX catalogue on page 26. Matching drill bits are available separately.
