LamiFIX AG is a family-owned company, now managed by the second generation, based in Kaltbrunn in the canton of St Gallen.

LamiFIX grew out of a joinery business. On construction sites, the owner repeatedly encountered similar installation problems. This led him to combine a joining biscuit with a wood screw to create concealed fixings between wood and concrete or between wood and brick.
The first generation of connectors developed into a patented system of furniture and assembly fittings.
The furniture range is still used today to create concealed joints and, above all, to solve installation problems on site.

The biscuit connector idea subsequently led to the first fittings for side fixing and suspension of stair treads. The range has continued to develop and expand. Today’s LamiFIX stair fittings were tested in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Rapperswil, in its construction materials testing laboratory. The stair system also meets European standard EN 1995-1-1:2010-12.
