Stair tread bolts Set 2C – T = 80 mm – simply rest the treads on the supports and screw them in place

Rest the treads on the supports and screw them in place – no additional tread machining required. Version C is the most economical LamiFIX system for fixing stair treads at the side. The tread connector requires neither a groove nor a mounting hole in the tread. This saves machining time, installation time and costs.

Application and design

Set 2C in INOX A2 with an embedment depth of T = 80 mm is designed for C24 softwood with angled or horizontal grain behind Fermacell cladding. An 18 mm gap is provided between the tread and the timber structure. The Fermacell cladding must be no more than 15 mm thick. Installation is without a wall stringer and without sound insulation; this version is intended for single-family homes.

Select the correct embedment depth

The stair tread bolt screws through the Fermacell cladding into the timber structure behind it. The wood species and grain direction determine the correct embedment depth T and component length. Refer to the table provided with the product: the embedment depth for this Set version is highlighted in blue.

Installation and supplied components

A wall hole of Ø25 × 80 mm is specified for this version. Includes stair tread bolt, wall rosette, Waxilit lubricant, drywall screws and TX tread fixing screw.

Fitting and installation

The mounting hole in the timber is Ø25 mm. Select the drilling depth and a suitable timber structure using the Set table in the product gallery. Install the bolt using Waxilit lubricant and the insertion tool for version C. Then place the stair tread on the support and secure it with the TX tread fixing screw.

Embedment depth T refers to the load-bearing timber structure behind the cladding. The wall rosette covers the connection to the wall.

Accurate holes with drill bushes

The holes must be drilled at the correct angle and position. For stairs without stringers, we lend suitable drill bushes free of charge for a maximum of three months. The drilling guide is shown in the LamiFIX catalogue on page 26 .

Suitable drill bits and installation tools

Compatible with tread suspension systems

Version C can also be combined with LamiFIX tread suspension systems. Depending on the stair design, choose between the Ø10 mm tread suspension system and the Ø16 mm tread suspension system . The treads are suspended from the handrail or ceiling; the rods are made to measure.
